ABOUT ABOUT

"Duarte’s voice soars and glides with a crystalline beauty."  - Opera Wire

Houston-based Grammy Award-winning mezzo soprano Cecilia Duarte is as comfortable in her operatic roles as she is with the popular romantic songs of mid-20th century Mexico. Joining Duarte on this program is pianist Ana Maria Otamendi and Spanish percussionist Jesús Pacheco, who perform a program of Mexican boleros, along with classical songs by Manuel de Falla and Alberto Ginastera.
