The Music Institute of Chicago, in a new partnership with Evanston Interfaith Clergy and Leaders, presents its 22nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration.
Join the Music Institute of Chicago for a special afternoon that weaves together voices from the arts, education, social justice, and interfaith communities to honor and celebrate the legacy of Dr. King.
In the spirit of this collaboration, a diverse group of faith leaders from Evanston shares readings and facilitates moments of reflection on the work of Dr. King, including Reverend Michael Nabors of Second Baptist Church of Evanston.
The program also features performances and new work from: Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative, Dance Center Evanston, Evanston Art Center, Hearing in Color Young Composer Residency, Music Institute of Chicago, and Ravinia's Reach Teach Play.
